2015-16 Forecast  (Temperature, Precipitation)  9/14/2015

From Dave Curtis (9/14/2015) -- Given the strong El Nino that's brewing, the forecasts seem fairly consistent through the winter season for the Pacific Northwest - higher than normal temperatures, lower than normal precipitation for the season. Below are the latest maps of anticipated precipitation and temperature probability for Nov-Jan this winter.

The maps suggest that the storms are more likely to track to the north and to the south of Washington this winter. However, there's a lot of warm water in the Pacific that could still cause problems. Higher temperatures and lower precipitation forecast for the season do not preclude a big storm that could cause flooding. The bottom line, stay prepared.
