National Tax Awareness Security Week is Dec 5-9, 2016 - IRS Information to Share with Your Members!     12/6/2016

Good morning, Small Business Organizations & Government Agencies:

This week is National Tax Security Awareness Week, and the IRS is using this time period, Dec. 5 – Dec. 9, 2016, to bring public attention to issues like online protections, recognizing phishing scams, protecting client information and watching for IRS impersonators. We need your assistance in getting the IRS messages out far and wide.

This attached document called IRS Resources @ Your Fingertips has information you can share via e-newsletters, social media or your website regarding National Tax Awareness Security Week (Dec 5-9, 2016).

This includes information on:

·         Computer Security and the use of strong passwords

·         Tax Preparers, Protect Your Clients, Protect Yourself

·         How to be vigilant against phone scams
