2027-29 Local Projects Recruitment Process

The Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority is pleased to initiate a call for 2027-29 local projects. The following website provides access to downloadable versions of 2027-29 recruitment forms as well a schedule of key dates and further contact information. This website will be updated in the weeks and months ahead as the local project review/consideration process proceeds. Updates to this website will be communicated via the Flood Authority's master distribution list. Please periodically check-back as well. Lastly, as questions are raised through the local review/consideration process answers to those questions will be posted here for all to see.

II.  Recruitment Schedule -- Significant Key Dates:

April 3, 2026 Flood Authority posts/distributes FINAL 2025-2027 local project recruitment request.
May 15, 2026*

Project sponsors submit proposals no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2026 to BOTH:
May 21, 2026 FA #1 -- Flood Authority presented with local project proposals received.
June 4, 2026 CBB #1 -- Chehalis Basin Board presented with local project proposals received.
Multiple Dates Review and ranking of proposals with Projects Committee and Review Team.
July 16, 2026 FA #2 -- Flood Authority approves ranked, prioritzed funding recommendation to Chehalis Basin Board.
August 6, 2026 CBB #2 -- Chehalis Basin Board approves ranked, prioritized funding recommendation to OCB/Ecology/Governor.

 * Proposal submitters will likely be asked for additional information between May 15 through July 16, 2026.
