Critical Areas Adaptive Management Training Workshops

Summary of the project

 What's happening:

  • Commerce and project partners from Departments of Fish and Wildlife and Ecology will provide technical assistance and resources to cities and counties to help develop or enhance monitoring and adaptive management programs to effectively protect critical areas.

 What’s coming:

  • An online webinar workshops series, with hands-on technical and peer interaction.
  • Trainings will focus on regional shoreline management and habitat and critical area protection with monitoring and adaptive management.

 Why it’s important:

  • Washington counties and cities using permitting procedures and critical areas regulations to protect and enhance critical areas need a system and method to ensure their regulations are effective. These trainings offer an opportunity to review and enhance your process to achieve optimal critical areas protections
