Hoquiam - Ramer Street Pump Station Project

Summary of the project

Background

The Ramer Avenue Storm Water Pump Station Project was identified as a priority project in the City of Hoquiam’s Comprehensive Surface Water Management Plan. The project involves upgrades to increase the capacity to the pump station and upgrades to the pump station building.  The City received a grant for $1.3 million dollars from the Chehalis Basin Flood Authority for this project. 

 

Project Location

The project is located at 1104 Ramer Avenue,

 

Construction Begins July 2017

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of July 17, 2017.  Construction will take approximately 4 months to complete.  The contract has been awarded to Quiggs Brothers Construction of Aberdeen, Washington.  Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.

Construction Impacts

There will be some impacts to area residents and businesses during construction.  Those impacts will be:

  • Construction Equipment and Noise: During work hours there will be loud construction noise, significant ground vibration and some dust.
