The City Council adopted Resolution 892 in June 2023 adopting amendments to the City's SMP.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort!
Please note that the City's ADOPTION of the changes does not mean the document has been approved or put into effect.  Instead, APPROVAL from the Department is pending.
The City recieved a written confrmation on July 7, 2023 that the submittal for a periodic review amendment met all the requirements of WAC 173-26-110. ...

On April 14, 2023 the City circulated a memo as prepared by AHBL, Inc. addressing "Proposed additional changes to the Westport SMP draft document."  
The memo discusses the small set of additional proposed changes to the Westport Shoreline Master Program (SMP) as requested by the City. Westport is proposing to update the City’s adopted Shoreline Master Program. The City and the Washington Dept. of Ecology (Ecology) are accepting comments on a periodic review in accordance with RCW 90.58.080(4) and pursuant to the joint review process set forth in 173-26-104 WAC. 3/13/2023  -  Public Participation Plan Adopted   
The City of Westport is undertaking a periodic review of its Shoreline Master Program (SMP), as required by the Washington State Shoreline Management Act (SMA), RCW 90.58.080(4). The SMA requires each SMP be reviewed and revised, if needed, on an eight-year schedule established by the Legislature.
