The mission of the Flood Authority is to minimize hazards associated with flooding and catastrophic flooding and do so without further impact to impact people, property, and the environment. Formed in 2008, the Flood Authority has a track record for delivering results.

What We Do
Decision making in the Chehalis River Basin is informed by science, protective of basin residents and communities, and are environmentally appropriate. The Flood Authority administers local flood projects and the flood warning system within the Chehalis River Basin.
