Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority

The mission of the Flood Authority is to minimize hazards associated with flooding and catastrophic flooding and do so without further impact to impact people, property, and the environment. Formed in 2008, the Flood Authority has a track record for delivering results.

 Who We Are

The Flood Authority is locally driven and helps communities identify, develop, and implement local flood hazard reduction solutions. The following are the jurisdictions represented in the Chehalis Basin Flood Authority.

What We Do

Decision making in the Chehalis River Basin is informed by science, protective of basin residents and communities, and are environmentally appropriate. The Flood Authority administers local flood projects and the flood warning system within the Chehalis River Basin.
