After conducting an Open House from 5:30-7:00 pm on March 10, 2015, the Planning Commission held a Public Hearing and discussed revisions made to the document based on their last meeting and Ecology input.  After deliberation, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend the revised draft SMP to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration and adoption.  The final recommended Shoreline Master Program provided to the BOCC can be found under the Library tab of this...
3/27/2015  -  Summary of Final Steps - SEPA, Adoption   
The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) received the Shoreline Master Program package for its consideration on March 23, 2015, and authorized the County to issue the SEPA and provide notice to the Washington Department of Commerce of its intent to adopt the SMP.The County provided notice of its SEPA Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) on March 24, 2015, and sent it to stakeholders, agencies and other interested parties via e-mail.  The DNS and the following associated documents...
Based on community input and other factors, the status of Rodeo Lake as a shoreline waterbody has been under evaluation for the duration of the project. Earlier this month, a field assessment was conducted that concluded that Rodeo Lake did not meet the minimum 20-acre size. The memo summarizing the findings and conditions of Rodeo Lake can be found under the Library tab.

A public open house will be held on March 10, 2015 at 5:30 pm at the Adams County District Court in Othello.  It will be followed at 7:00 pm by a public hearing with the Planning Commission to hear input and feedback about the draft Shoreline Master Program.  After the hearing, the Planning Commission will deliberate, and may make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for adoption of the SMP.

11/13/2014  -  Please attend the Planning Commission meeting on 11/20/14, 10 am  (Hear about and provide feedback on the updated draft Shoreline Master Program) 
The FINAL Shoreline Analysis Report and the Community Visioning Report documents have been posted to the Library tab.  The Analysis Report can be found in the "Analysis Report" category, and the Community Visioning Report has been categorized as "Public Involvement."Both documents support development of the Shoreline Master Program in a way that meets County-specific needs and plans.
9/16/2014  -  Planning Commission Meeting 8.28.14  (Presentation and Meeting Summary ) 
The Planning Commission hosted a meeting on August 28 to provide a summary of the current status of the project, and solicit feedback from the community to guide development of the updated SMP.  The presentation and a meeting summary are now available under the Library tab.
8/4/2014  -  SMP Visioning Survey Now Available!   
Public input is being sought to help guide the update process. The County and its consultants have produced an online survey. The survey asks questions about use of the shorelines, regulations and public access. The public is invited and encouraged to participate in this update process and fill out the survey. A draft Shoreline Analysis Report is available under the Library tab.   This report is still undergoing review by the County, and your feedback is welcome.  The report will be submitted to the Washington Department of Ecology for its review at the end of July/early August 2014.
The presentation given at the Planning Commission meeting on April 17th, 2014 in Othello is available under the Library tab.
A preliminary set of maps (21 total) is available under the Library tab.   Each map set has 5 sheets covering different areas of the County.  If you zoom in on your computer, the resolution should still be high.  These maps are still undergoing review by the County, and your feedback is welcome.
