Hoquiam - North Shore Levee - West Project

Open House set for June 22,2022     5/3/2022

FEMA will host an Open House for the North Shore Levee - West Project on June 22,2022 at the Hoquiam City Hall from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 The public may drop in any time during the two hour Open House to view the exhibits.

The Open House will have display boards on

• the No Action alternative,
• the North Shore Levee- West 2020 Alternative,
• the North Shore Levee - West Modified Alignment 2022

During the scoping process, FEMA will ask for input on the following topics:

• Purpose and need for the project
• Reasonable range of alternatives
• Potentilly affected resources and extent of analysis for those resources
• Ways to avoid, minimize and / or mitigate effects of the proposal and alternatives

FEMA will summarize comments received during the scoping process into a publicly available scoping report. Scoping comments will be used to inform agency decisions on the "scope" of the environmental review.

Participants may provide comments verbally at the Open House recorded by a court reporter, written comments collected at the Open House, by email or mail.
