Introduction

Future Small-Scale Local Flood Hazard Reduction Projects (beyond 2013-15)

 

The Governor's Work Group, supported by the Anchor consultant team, will explore the potential benefits and adverse impacts of a combination of smaller-scale local flood hazard reduction projects throughout the Basin.  Potential projects will be explored in both “with dam” and “without dam” scenarios.  The Anchor consultant team will work with local governments, conservation districts, Chehalis Tribe, the Flood Authority and others to identify projects and assess their benefits and impacts.  The following provides a high-level schedule for the effort:

  • October 30-31, 2013 -- Meet with Technical Workgroup to discuss screening criteria and summary of potential projects.

  • December 2, 2013 -- Issue DRAFT memorandum for review and discussion with CRBFA's Chehalis Basin Projects Committee on 12/04/2013.  Click here for DRAFT memorandum.

  • December 13, 2013 -- Memorandum due describing list of potential projects.
