Ecology’s Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program is connecting with communities in Washington to share information on safer self-care products. We're tabling at community events in summer and fall 2023 to talk with community members about finding and using safer self-care products. 

Self-care and personal care products are anything that you put on your hair or body—whether you leave it on or wash it off—to beautify, cleanse, or care for yourself.

Washington State Department of Ecology does not endorse any manufacturers or products, and we haven't evaluated performance. Our review is based on third-party verification like EPA's Safer Choice program and Cradle to Cradle.
