Development of the standards for the management of compostable products
In accordance with RCW 70A.205.720, this landing page will serve as the resource page for those individuals interested in tracking the dialogue of the Advisory Committee that is making recommendations to the legislature on the development of standards for the management of compostable products.
The Advisory Committee members were outlined by the legislation; they will be supported by the successful contracted faciliator, Cascadia Consulting Group, Inc. Cascadia will be bringing legislation-mandated research to the Committee to inform the recommendations. Advisory Committee members can be found in the filess below.
Are you a member of the public looking to engage on this topic? Recurring meetings occur on the first Tuesday of each month from 10am-12pm PST. The public is welcome to attend and offer comments. All meetings take place will take place virtually.
Members of the public can access the meeting through this Zoom link.
Meeting dates include November 7th, December 5th, January 9th, February 6th, March 5th, April 2nd, May 7th, June 4th and July 2nd. Once available, a list of the tentative Advisory Committee meeting topics to be discussed will be posted in the documents below.
Please note the originally scheduled January 2nd meeting is now scheduled for January 9th between 2-4pm. Same Zoom location.
